The 15-man New Zealand team for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India selected William Young over Finn Allen. Kyle Jamieson, a pacer, and Adam Milne, who was unable to play in the ODI series against England, are also missing. Both Trent Boult and James Neesham, who are unattached with a central contract, have been selected.

Along with all-rounders Daryl Mitchell and Neesham, the speed department includes Boult, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, and Matt Henry.
