Pakistani team faces the visa delay, cancels team trip to Dubai for World Cup 2023
Pakistan’s pre-tournament squad bonding trip to Dubai has to be canceled due to a visa issue with less than a week until their first 2023 World Cup warm-up match.
For the ten-team tournament that starts on October 5, the Pakistani team still needs visas to travel to India. Each team will play two training matches before to the tournament, with Pakistan’s first match taking place on October 29 in Hyderabad against New Zealand.
The team's original plan included them arriving in Dubai for a few days of pre-tournament practice before traveling to Hyderabad. However, the visa delay has canceled their plans, and they now are leaving Lahore on Wednesday, just two days before their first warm-up in Hyderabad.
